As half of the year wraps up, I've been thinking back to how great the year has been so far, and how great the rest of the year is about to be. I've been so moved by the families I've met and the new friends I've made... and even more so by being reminded of how great the friends I've had along the way have all been. I'm surrounded by greatness. I'm just lucky enough that I tend to have a camera in hand to remind myself later on. :)If I'd try to think back to several years ago, when I was just starting out on my own, running a new business, and then try to project myself to where I am today, I'd have to say I've already exceeded my expectations. So you know what that means-higher expectations! Haha!
What's on the agenda for the rest of the year? Lots. Firstly, to update my awesome friends, I'm not having surgery tomorrow as planned. It's been rescheduled for possibly July 7th, but I'll know more tomorrow. I get all verklempt when I look over the last couple o' days of e-mails, because the amount of lovin' and support has been overwhelming. I can't imagine my recovery will be slow, because I can honestly feel the love coming from all over the place for me to get better.
Secondly, one of my biggest dreams is possibly about to come true. I've just been paired up with a local Parkersburg gal who is going to help me run special workshops all year long, helping teenagers build up their self-esteem. I had huge self-esteem issues as a teenager (when nothing is cool), and had a life-changing experience when just one person helped me to understand how to love myself. I want to offer that gift to as many people as possible, because I know every person has something gorgeous and very cool about them. And it's time to celebrate it! Lastly, for now, I'm going to start offering more photo specials throughout the year. Random free sessions. free prints, etc. For now, for every online (through your gallery) order in July (1st-31st), get a free matching 8x10 with every 11x14 ordered (mention the free 8x10 in the notes field, don't order it), OR get the medium res file of any 11x14 print. :)

Your workshop sounds like a great opportunity. I know you will do great. You have an amazing ability to make people feel special and important. I have felt that online so I know you will shine in person and be an amazing role model for girls.

Ok, I had to write you again! I feel blessed to had met you and for the oportunity to had shared th emort important day in mine and Greg's life with you. I will going through our picture cd again (for probably the ten thousand time) so I can order our pictures. And my parents would like to thank you for sucha a wonderful job on our wedding album. It's the biggest hit in Brasil. I've been getting emails and phone calls of friends and family about it. They want an album like ours. I might need to take you with me to Brasil one of these days - lol.
